Recent training graduates
It’s been a training whirlwind lately, and below for your enjoyment are some of my recent program graduates!
Percy and Grady aced their training program!
Percy, left, was a new addition to the home and skittish of meeting people. Grady, right, wasn’t completely happy with the new household member.
We worked together on safety and environmental management with new people, as well as new skills such as going to their place, coming when called, leaving things alone, and more.

Bonnie excelled in her Springtime Manners Refresher!
Sweet older puppy Bonnie had lots of good manners already and we brushed them up a bit: politely greeting visitors, coming when called, and loose leash walking. Team Bonnie now has a super-solid foundation of life skills!
Lizzie graduated from Puppy Perfection with flying colors!
Exuberant, happy puppy Lizzie learned important foundational skills such as polite leash walking, greeting people without jumping, coming when called, going to her crate, and leaving things alone. We also sprinkled in enrichment and socialization for the full Puppy Perfection Program experience!
Janusz Rocked Puppy Perfection!
We worked on socialization and life skills such as polite leash walking, coming when called, dropping items when needed, and going to his mat (which you can see he enjoys!).

Murdock learned many new life skills!
A recent rescue, Murdock and his people learned everyday life skills such as waiting at the front door to go out (very important for this strong puppo), polite leash walking, going to his crate, resting on his mat, and much more. He really enjoyed his donut squeaky graduation gift!
Bob the basset now politely sits for petting!
I have worked with Bob’s people before and we did a manners brush up on sitting to meet people both inside and outside of the house, leash walking skills, and resting quietly on his mat when company comes over. His people report he’s doing GREAT with sitting politely to meet people:
We took Bob to the vet yesterday, lots of people and animals in the waiting room. A woman approached us and asked if she could meet Bob, she had a basset as a child. I said yes but ask him to sit before saying "Hi". Bob sat right away and got his pets and scratches. No jumping, no mouthing. He remained calm even with a steady flow of cute basset fans wanting to fawn over him.
An older dog learned a new trick: charlie + “Mat” + stuffed Kong = a peaceful time for visitors!
Twelve-year-old Charlie gets very, very excited when people come over, to say the least, barking long and loudly. He also gets a wee bit worried when visitors get up and move around the room.
Over several sessions we taught him instead to go to his mat in the living room, where he can enjoy a frozen stuffed Kong and relax when visitors arrive. He loves being on his mat with the Kong so much he didn’t even lift his head at graduation photo time!
