FAQ: “What happens in a free online consultation?”
We’ll discuss your dog, your concerns, and your goals.
Read on for the details!
In this free, online 20-minute consultation:
We’ll go over your household setup: who lives in the home and their ages, frequency of visitors, and more.
Then, discuss the behavior(s) you're concerned about and your goals.
I’ll review any safety concerns and how to implement immediate management of the situation.
We’ll consider whether private in-person training sessions or private online training sessions are more appropriate for the issues you’re experiencing.
I'll answer your questions about my credentials, training methods (spoiler: they're rewards-based, positive, and effective), and anything else.
How we’ll meet and what you’ll need:
Our online session will be on Google Meet (you don’t need a Google account).
You will need a computer, smartphone, or device that can connect to the Internet.
You’ll receive the meeting link by email after you schedule your consultation.
You may want to have any questions ready and something to jot notes on (though I send a recap by email).
What this consultation is not:
A problem-solving session. It would be unethical and ineffective for me to give advice on modifying your dog’s behavior in 20 minutes.
The exception would be if there is an immediate danger to a member of the household or to your dog.
By the end of our consultation:
You’ll understand what’s driving your dog’s behavior and how I can help.
I’ll let you know when to expect my training proposal and any pertinent resources (usually the same day).
You will feel great for taking this step and getting started!
